The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) invites outstanding candidates to apply for innovative Ph.D. programs organized around the following areas: Information Science and Technology; Energy Science and Technology; Biomedical Science and Technology; Space Science and Technology; and Nuclear Science and Technology. To be eligible, applicants should hold a strong Master’s Degree (or equivalent) and have excellent command of English, the working language of Skoltech. Applicants holding an excellent B.Sc. degree with honors will be considered for a joint Master-and-PhD program. All Skoltech Ph.D. students receive a competitive package of financial support, including monthly stipend, tuition waiver, subsidized housing, and medical insurance, as well as the opportunity to conduct funded research with Skoltech
faculty at MIT in Cambridge, USA, and other partner institutions.

Several positions are available specifically in Data Management research. Prospective areas of research include topics on the manipulation, indexing, analysis, privacy, and security of graph, spatio-temporal, streaming, semantic web, and time series data. Applicants should have a strong background in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and machine learning, excellent programming skills, team work capacity, and ability to meet deadlines.
